Well regarded by the Bar, Dan is a member of the Professional Conduct Committee, VHCC Appeals Committee, and is a registered pupil supervisor. He is an active member of the Criminal Bar Association, Criminal Bar Association (Northern Ireland), Association of Regulatory and Disciplinary Lawyers and the Public Access Bar Association.
